Partners in Education and the Cherokee Chorale Scholarship

he Chorale is please to be Partners in Education with the Cherokee County Board of Education. By partnering with the local Board of Education, the Chorale is able to assist and strengthen middle and high school choirs, often by offering opportunities to perform with the Chorale. The group has provided funding to middle and high schools to assist with attendance at District and State Choral Clinics. In turn, the School Board is able to provide the Chorale with different communication channels to the schools and facility use when requested.

Each year, the Chorale offers a scholarship to selected Cherokee County School District students who seek to further their education in Vocal Performance or Vocal Education. The scholarship, offered in the memory of Judye MacMillan, one of the Cherokee Chorale Founders and long-time conductors, is offered to a newly-matriculating first-year student to Reinhardt College that has indicated an intention to pursue their continued education in vocal performance.
